It is not often that the challenge of Ibsen’s John Gabriel Brokman is taken up, and seldom with such imagination as this production by the Belfast Lyric Players under the direction of Leon Rubin.
Leon Rubin’s direction carefully charts the slow disclosures of the motives, disasters and betrayals.
Sunday News
This is a serious play, but never dull. Every moment has been carefully tended. The pace throughout was firm and flawless, the performances very restrained and very strong. The characters, especially Borkman, were most convincing and the casting was superb.
